Finally we are able to come up with the facts and the figures from our last fund raising event. Sorry about the long gap, as we were waiting for the last input of the ticket sales and for the banking details of the monastaries in Nepal.

Here's the detail on the fund/money we were all able to donate to the two monasteries for the well being and the medical support of the resident monks.

Tibetan Medicare Social Project 09'

Wir vom Tibetan Medicare Project wurden in den letzten Wochen vermehrt mit dem Gerücht konfrontiert, dass das Charity Concert am 28. Februar 2009 in Langnau abgesagt wird. Dies ist jedoch nicht der Fall.

Auch wir werden Lhosar dieses Jahr nicht wie gewohnt feiern und werden an die Opfer und Helden in Tibet gedenken – was jedoch nicht heissen soll, dass deshalb das Konzert abgesagt wird. Dieses Konzert hat mit Lhosar nichts zu tun – es ist sehr wichtig, dass es durchgeführt wird für die Finanzierung des Projekts. Es gab bereits genug Verzögerungen und wir sind gezwungen, es jetzt durchziehen zu müssen, da wir bereits Gewisse Honorare im Voraus für die Ärzte gezahlt haben.

Wir hoffen, dass alle dies verstehen werden. Wir gedenken natürlich auch an die Opfer in Tibet, müssen aber auch an die Mönche denken, die wegen für "uns lächerlichen" Infektionskrankheiten sterben könnten. Wir sind mit der Gründung des Teams eine Verpflichtung eingegangen und müssen diese wahrnehmen.

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to learn more about this project. Love and compassion is really needed in this world and with this project, we want to do our part in bringing happiness, prosperity and a healthy life for others.

We were born and raised here in Switzerland, and were blessed to have all the opportunities in the world, since our childhood. This includes basic medical necessities to keep us away from all the illnesses related to polluted environment, bad hygiene and sicknesses that comes through poor quality food and drinking water. We want to give the same opportunity to others that we know and don't know. Especially to the young monks who are far away from their homeland.

So the overall purpose behind this Medicare project is to provide basic medical support and assistance to the monks of the Jamchen Lhakang and Porong Pema Choeding monasteries in Nepal. Together, we will provide them the Medicare support to keep these monks healthy and away from illnesses related to unhealthy environment.
